Limited Warranties

BACKYARD BUILDINGS AND MORE WARRANTY
Your Storage Building, Solar Shed, Playhouse or Cedar Gazebo is and will remain free of any defects caused by material or workmanship for the following period from date of installation:
  • 2 Years - Value Series
  • 5 Years - Gardener's Series / Heritage Series / Playhouses / Solar Sheds
  • 10 years - Vinyl-Sided Series / Cedar Gazebos
In the event that your building or a component of your building is found defective, we will repair or replace the affected part, at Backyard Buildings and More discretion, free of charge.

CONDITIONS & LIMITATIONS

  • Building must be painted using 100% acrylic latex exterior paint, (including the bottom edges of all siding and all four edges and insides of doors) within 60 days of installation. Note: Cedar Gazebos can be finished with a quality, exterior stain (semi-transparent or solid) containing a water repellent and ultra-violet protection.
  • Building must be properly maintained, as needed, including, but not limited to, repainting (staining), recaulking and keeping perimeter and underside of building clear of vegetation.
  • Movement of building from its original location or alteration to building may void warranty.
  • Damage due to insects, water sprinklers or acts of God (including tornadoes, hail storms, fire, etc.) are not covered.
  • This warranty applies to original purchaser only.
  • Notice of failure or defect must be reported to Backyard Buildings and More within a reasonable time.
  • In no event will Backyard Buildings and More be liable for loss or damage to personal property placed in building (including any damage caused by the existence of any defect in building), or for any indirect, incidental, consequential damages nor failure(s) which are caused by events, acts or omissions beyond our control including, but not limited to, misuse or improper maintenance. This warranty gives you certain specific rights which vary from state to state.

CLAIM PROCEDURE
To make a claim under this warranty, please send a written description of the defect along with your name, address and telephone number to the address below. We may request a photograph of the defect or permission to inspect the building. All repairs will be made within a reasonable time.

BACKYARD PLAY SYSTEMS WARRANTY

Your playset is and will remain free of any defects caused by material or workmanship for the following period from date of installation:

  • Every product is warranted from defects in workmanship and manufacturing for a period of one year.
  • All hardware and non-wood components are warranted for three years. Except rope which is warranted for one year.
  • Treated wood is warranted for ten years.
  • Woodguard TM is warranted for ten years.

Backyard Play Systems will repair, replace or pay for the affected part. In no event shall Backyard Play Systems pay any other costs related thereto.

Non-residential use of the system is prohibited and will void this warranty as the system is designed for residential use only.

CONDITIONS & LIMITATIONS
The warranty is effective only when:

  • The unit has been erected in accordance with the assembly instructions.
  • The unit has been regularly and properly maintained and inspected.
  • The failure occurs when the unit is owned by the original purchaser.
  • Backyard Play Systems has received a copy of your original proof of purchase with any claims in writing.
  • Backyard Play Systems has had reasonable opportunity during the sixty (60) days following the receipt of notification to inspect and verify the failure prior to commencement of any repair work.

Wooden components may have imperfections such as checks and knots. These are natural blemishes and imperfections which are inherent to wood. The imperfections not resulting in structural failure are not covered under this warranty.

REQUIREMENTS
To validate your warranty it is necessary to register your warranty online or fill out and mail in your warranty card.  Also, the playset must be maintained and inspected regularly. Regularly is defined as once per start and end of season.
